Bert is Associate Professor in Software Engineering at the DistriNet research group, campus GroupT. In the past decade, Bert incepted a portfolio of applied research projects on security middleware, distributed data management and cloud technologies in close collaboration with industrial partners. Bert is experienced with industrial valorization of research as well as the cross-fertilization between academic know-how and industrial expertise in multi-partner industrial projects. Bert teaches multiple courses on system-level programming, operating systems, distributed systems and cloud-based enterprise application development.
